We are looking for a software engineer with 5+ years of experience to join us on this exciting journey.
Hybrid / Remote
5+ years
The construction industry shapes the skylines we admire and the infrastructure we rely on. Yet too many projects still fall behind schedule and over budget because critical information is trapped in outdated systems.
At Levvr, we believe there’s a better way. By moving from document-driven work to data-driven collaboration, we create a foundation where knowledge builds over time, turning every project into a stepping stone toward a smarter, more sustainable construction industry. This shift unlocks true collaboration for engineering teams, reduces waste, accelerates delivery, and ensures that billions in public and private funds are invested in future-proof infrastructure rather than lost to inefficiency.
When you join us, you’re not just writing code, you’re helping build the foundation for faster, smarter, and more sustainable construction worldwide.
We are looking for a software engineer with 5+ years of experience to join us on this exciting journey. This is a role within a fast growing SaaS scaleup, so if you like a dynamic working environment and learn new things then this is the challenge for you.
The backend platform and integration layer that connects levvr to customer systems and infrastructure.
Designing, implementing, and hardening APIs, messaging flows, and deployment patterns that support regulated and customer-specific environments.
Being a leader in technical work on our Azure-to-AWS migration and ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Building and maintaining core backend services in our .NET / C# stack, with a strong focus on robustness, observability, and maintainability.
Setting the standard for how we use AI in day-to-day engineering, designing the workflows, guardrails, and review practices that let us move faster without quietly lowering the bar on quality.
Improving our release pipeline, monitoring, and incident response so platform changes can be delivered safely and confidently, including where AI-assisted changes are involved.
We know this is a long list but hopefully something you're comfortable with:
You take end-to-end ownership of critical backend and platform features, from design through implementation to production rollout and monitoring.
You've built and operated enterprise applications where integration, security, and reliability are non-negotiable.
You have strong production experience with:
Microsoft stack (.NET Core, C#) for backend development.
SQL and NoSQL data stores, and ideally some exposure to graph databases.
Messaging systems and patterns (e.g. Azure Service Bus, Kafka, event-driven architecture).
You've genuinely changed how you build software over the last couple of years, and you can talk concretely about it: what you automated, what you stopped doing by hand, what you tried that didn't work, and what it did to your throughput or defect rate.
You have a considered view on where AI-assisted development breaks down - and you design your workflow, tests, and review process accordingly rather than trusting output on faith.
You can apply sound architectural thinking, using appropriate design patterns and SOLID principles without over-engineering.
You are comfortable designing and evolving deployment architectures on Azure and/or AWS, and understand the trade-offs of different approaches.
You know how to build integrations and APIs that are robust, versionable, and easy to operate in customer environments.
You have experience improving observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and using it to drive reliability and performance work.
You communicate clearly in English and can align with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - including making the case for a new way of working to people who aren't yet convinced.
You can work closely with product managers and implementation teams to understand requirements, shape solutions, and ensure the platform delivers against timelines and constraints.
You are comfortable in a scale-up environment: you prefer ownership over strict processes and are willing to get hands-on to make things work.
Experience designing or operating integration layers for B2B SaaS in regulated or complex enterprise environments.
Experience with AWS (in addition to Azure), including migrations or hybrid cloud setups.
Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases, and an interest in semantic/graph-based products.
Experience with CQRS, microservices, and event-driven architectures, and a pragmatic sense of when to apply them.
Experience with LLM integrations or AI infrastructure (e.g. building an "LLM bridge", prompt orchestration, agent workflows) as part of a shipped product.
You've introduced AI-assisted development practices to a team before - agentic coding, AI-assisted review, automated test generation, spec-driven workflows - and got adoption, not just interest.
Strong understanding of messaging patterns, idempotency, and resilience in distributed systems.
